Amelia's Captive Heart
When debutant Amelia Morton steps out for some fresh air at a country dance in her town in Lancashire England, the last thing she expects is to be kidnapped. She soon finds herself on a ship headed to Portugal. Frustrated with her circumstances and the sailor tasked with her safety, she searches for every opportunity to irritate the handsome first mate, Finn.
Follow her adventure through letters written to her mother as she recounts tales of life at sea on board a merchant ship. The experiences take her through raging storms and teach her the rough skills of a sailor. As Amelia explores the ship and a new country, she meets and faces friendly and not so friendly crew members, a kind seamstress, wicked mutineers, and an Irish sailor who captures her heart.
